CDS300

I don't know if this post violates any rules, but please delete it if it is inappropriate.

I just bought "Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall" and found that I couldn't rip the CD with MC11.  Apparently it is protected with CDS300.  MC11 didn't even recognize it as a music CD.  I tried several computers with 4 different drives, but none of them could even see the audio tracks.  Finally I downloaded Exact Audio Copy, which could see the audio tracks.  The CD has 9 tracks and EAC saw 10 tracks and a text file.  I selected the first 9 tracks and ripped then to the hard drive as wave files.  After that I was able to convert them to Ape files and put them on my server.

I just wanted to pass this info along in case someone else gets stuck with a similar disc.
