2. NEW: Pix01 slideshow templates convert video to .flv.  Flash player included on page

Im prob. out to lunch, but

Is this suppose to take a vid (any kind), convert to flv, upload

and played on Pix01?

Because, I cant seem to get it to work.

Tried some mpegs (mp2), it upload, but will not play.

When you hover the curser over the vid, the file has a wmv ext.

So I tried a flv file and MC wants to download a plugin. Killed it.

Also, if I am correct in my thinking,

What is the file size limit ?

Also thanks for the improvements in Pix01.

It's still got a few problems, but mpg files should work.  Here's a sample:
http://pix01.com/AA@uTp6

It will pause a few times the first time you play it if your connection isn't fast enough.  The second time, it should play smoothly.

Can you post a link to one you uploaded?

But in one of my recent attemps at this, I got the download mesg.

and left it go.

Everythig is fine now.

Thanks for your help

Where do you get this external video converter? I just tried uploading some AVI's for the first time and they also just got converted to WMV's.

They will only be converted to flv if you use one of the new slideshow black, pink, grey or blue templates.  (Click options.)

Cool. I had "noire" still in there for an option as a default since that's the alphabetical order. Is that purposely not supposed to allow FLV's, is it even supposed to still be there, etc.?

It is just the oldest template and doesn't contain the flash player.  Since the flash player only plays flvs all videos need to be converted to flv.

Now if you don't want your videos converted to flv you have to use noire.

That's good. I'm sure the help or something will be updated to let the user know that.
