MiniSD 4GB sync problem
« on: August 26, 2007, 08:35:55 pm »

I have a 4GB in a Dopod D810 and my PC sees the card. MC 12 sees it and says that 3.7GB is full out of 3.8GB. The card is empty.
I can't sync to the card at all using MC12.

I would appreciate knowing how to solve this problem.
regards, Mark

Please check the manufacturer's web site to see if the device supports a 4GB card.

The device being the card reader?  Are you using a card reader with your flash card?  I would try using one if you aren't and then, since you said it IS empty, re-format it as FAT and then try FAT32.  See if formatting it helps.  Sometimes the file allocation tables can get corrupted and things can go crazy.

There appears to be a problem with the way JRiver sees the card. It is formatted and works under windows, but J River sees the card as full when it is not. This also happens when the card is in my phone. Oh, I should add this happens for more than one card. I'm concerned about J River working correctly.
