I'm not sure how many others experience this but it may be caused by the overall size of my cover art (1200x1200 @0.5-2 MB each).  I am using the Large thumbnails to the left of the details.  If I view songs and scroll down, the unbuffered cover art starts importing.  However, it will usually only appear over one song (horizontal section).  If I hover the mouse over songs that do not have the cover art, it updates and displays the cover art.  Basically, it adds one horizontal strip of cover art and seems to add them after a while but often requires that I hover over each song--which just means a quick swipe from top to bottom...but it doesn't seem quite right.
