view schemes
« on: December 05, 2007, 10:17:02 am »

I just upgraded from MC10 to 12 and am having trouble customizing my view schemes.  I would like to add additional trees to the audio view besides just artist/album.  I right click on the audio button and select add view scheme, but it seems to place this new view in random places.  sometimes it appears under audio, sometimes under video, sometimes under no tree at all (bold above Start) and once it appeared under the disk location tree.  am I doing something wrong?  I just want to add a new tree under the audio button.  thanks for any help.

Make sure you're using build 380 from the top of this board.

You should first left-click the audio category to change your current view.

that seems to work, although its a bit deceptive because right clicking also highlights the icon.

what do the different options under the image drop down mean?  what is the difference between selecting "audio" vs "scheme" aside from changing the icon?

The "icon" used also affects the positioning of the resulting scheme in the tree.  Other than that, there is no purpose to them.
