MC 11 & Vista
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:27:22 pm »

Hello. I've been a long-time user of MC, but after I "upgraded" to Vista it suddenly stopped playing nice.  It's always been a little buggy, but all the features made it worth it...but the disconnect between MC11 and Vista became too much to bear.  Now I'm suffering (hugely) with Windows Media Player (reasonable feature set, but less intuitive and also quite slow/buggy in it's own way). I also tried Winamp, but it couldn't even import my library (possibly something to do with being bought by those clowns at AOL).  And I'd rather have my fingernails ripped off than use iTunes. Anyway, I miss MC and want to go back, but I'm too far along to revert to XP.  Has anything changed in the past few months?  Will MC12 play nicer with Vista?  ?

I don't have vista, And I did not want to torture myself after what I have heard about vista.

From what I have read in the forum, yes.

Hmmm...actually, I think there's a lot of hype. I've had no trouble with Vista EXCEPT that MC11 doesn't like it.

I will probably upgrade to 12, but it gets tiresome handing over more cash every year for basically the same program with a few extra bells & whistles...

MC12 will work fine with Vista.  MC11.1 was written before Vista.

;D You got me there!  And MC upgrades are cheaper than Microsoft ones...

Anyway, I bought 12...so far so good, seems very stable...
