Please allow me to restore!
« on: August 10, 2002, 01:54:58 pm »

I had no idea that I only had 6 restores per year!  I know, it's probably mentioned somewhere before a customer is asked for money, but I didn't see a "You can only activate this 6 times a year" warning anywhere near the "submit credit card information" button.

My computer has tanked multiple times since I paid for MJ8 in June.  I've gotten pretty good at reinstalling Windows, and I'm hot on the trail of figuring out what I'm doing wrong... but now, I can't activate my copy of MJ8 anymore!  And all that I can find in the FAQ is "You have to buy another license."

I know there's got to be a better way.  There has to be!  I implore you to allow me to use MJ8.  Please email me -- it's the same email that I received my registration code from in the beginning.

I'm sorry if I come off as frustrated or angry, it's just that I am.  I don't want to be, and I'm hoping that by contacting the company that this can be resolved.  I'm a legitimate customer, you're a respected company, let's work this out, please.  I haven't shared my registration code with anybody, I haven't posted it on the internet anywhere, and I've given y'all some very good press in my workplace and online circles.  Please help.

Hi Kurt,

I reset your restores - you have 6 more.
When mucking with an unstable system like you are, it's good to allow the trial period to run the full 30 days before restoring (when you reinstall).

Thanks,

Aye, thank you.  In doing my troubleshooting, I'm the kind of guy that has to rebuild as much as possible..  If the car breaks down at mile 5, then I'm going to try to recreate miles 0-5 as best as possible.  But the limitation in installs has been noted and you can be assured that I'll not register it any more than is necessary.

Thank you for the prompt service.

KurtYoung

read the register html, when you get to the part to register, you can save the key to your hard drive\floppy by right clicking on the link and using Save As.

you then can restore from the key file for 14 days.
