Sorry, but couldn't find the list of the possible variables/fields to use within the Visualization Studio...

Does it exist? Would be grateful for the link to this list...

Want to put the zone name onto the visualization display view...

the list of fields you can use in vis studio is limited. from memory:

ARTIST
ALBUM
NAME
TOTAL_TIME
ELAPSED_TIME
REMAINING_TIME
YEAR (is broken at the moment but should be repaired in version 405)

gues i forget something.

using html track info gives much more variables.

PN_POSITION
PN_TRACKS
BITRATE

I assumed that I can use all variables floating around... too bad

CHANNELS: 1 for mono, 2 for stereo, 6 for surround sound

I asked for this list on the forum way back in December 2006 and didn't get it 

I'm about to start a minor HTPC project with the bits of my old PC (when the new one arrives) and thought I'd come and check if these parameters had appeared in the meantime - bingo! Excellent, thanks guys.

It puzzles me that there is so little evidence of user activity as far as creating custom Display Views is concerned. I've found 2 links to .MJVs in the forum and one in the download section, and very little discussion. For other apps, where it's considerably more difficult to create a display view, there are tons available and much discussion. Or am I just looking in the wrong place?

It seems unique to MC's community as far as I can tell. There is very little in the way of skins, plugins or visualisations developed (or at least shared) by the community.

I suspect it's for 2 reasons..
  1) People are too busy managing their Libraries
  2) GeForce and Whitecap are very popular

I have to admit, my one poultry attempt so far at a theater view skin (see sig), I haven't bothered to put on to the Accessories page because I'm slack.

Another tag it'd be good to have for visualitions is Composer. I quite often listen to classical music, where I have the musician or orchestra listed as Artist and the Composer in, you guessed, Composer 
As I do like to listen to classical occasionally but I'm pretty much of an ignoramus in this dept, I quite often don't know whose music I'm listening to without switching out of display view.

What I'd really like is for Vis Studio to support Track Info's method of field insertion:
TrackInfo_Insert(Fieldname), probably renamed to something like VisStudio_Insert(Fieldname), so that you could use any field.

There's another. Lots of greys and a circle with rainbow (cycle) colours behind the cover art to liven things up a bit
