question about formatdate again?

for some reason i never get this to work.
i use: formatdate([date imported,0],dd-MM-yyyy) in an expression. i want the result to be in date order when using panes or theaterview. how?

You can only have ascending or descending sorting. To sort by date in a pane, you would need to reformat the output to read yyyy-MM-dd.

thanks marko. that is how i do it now yyyy-MM-dd, but it looks a bit dumb. especially in theater view. thought this issue was adrressed a while ago. ah well.
actually it would be nice if there was something like: &listtype=[ date ]. or maybe there could be something new in version 13 called ListSort=  [ some library field ].
