Media Center using a hard drive enclosure

hey all. sorry im a newb. but my question is that:

is there any media center that is usable with a hard drive enclosure?
to be in more detail, im looking at the TAKETV from sandisk and a hard drive enclosure .....

is there any out there? i plan to put videos/movies from my comp and bring the hard drive enclosure over to my tv...  

any help ?  thx

Not quite sure what you're asking? Your question doesn't make much sense (at least to me).

If you want a media center with storage built in then buy yourself a first generation x-box, chip it, load up XBMC onto it and put that under your TV. You can then play stuff off it and also have storage built into it.

That's kind of what TakeTV does.  It's a Flash Drive that you can put video on, and it has a cradle that is connected to your TV.  It has its own storage, so I'm not sure why you would want to add another drive.
