Hello togehter!

I want to disable the OSD when the display is detached. I want to show some videos to an audience but when the video is stopped "Stop" appears on the detached screen. When I press pause, "Pause" appears on the screen.
How can I disable the OSD? There is no option to disable it. I searched in the forum and found a thread. The blue border can be removed, but how I remove the text?

But the OSD-info disturbs the presentation especially for the audience.
It would be very nice if there would be an option to turn the OSD off in the future.

Don't have a chance now or I would help you find some earlier posts by me and others.  A very kind forum member made a skin for me that makes the OSD solid black so you only see black...it was much better than the default OSD.  Just look for posts by me around last November or so.  The kind individual posted the skin online.  Very useful for a live performance I ran back then!

i did pm it to ben, because it is just the noire skin with some small changes for the osd. but the skin seems to be still up. ill send you the link.

Gappie offered suggestions on how to edit the XML document defining the skin but I was having difficulty so gappie kindly fixed the skin and sent it to me.  I still have a copy of it if you don't gappie.

Ok thanks. But I have edit the xml-file to get the black bar smaller.

If you set InternalMarginTop and InternalMarginBottom to 0 the black bar is very small (like the text).

oh that is nice, if i remember well, that did not work at the time i changed the skin for ben.
bigger did but smaller not.

i have no problem with posting it. but it feels like posting a bit cripled version of noire, wich works for certain instances. and secondly, i called it BennsNoire. i dont know if he cares about that, and most of all. i just rebuild my machine but have to reinstall the ftp programm still, and first have to find the passwords etc, so i can not change that.  lol.
