Put into standby after playlist is complete
« on: March 07, 2008, 05:11:14 pm »

I often listen to some of my podcasts as I go to sleep.  Is there a way that I can tell the Media center to put computer into standby after a certain amount of play or maybe at the end of the playlist?  I use it on my laptop and I don't like the idea that it runs all night (It has an overheating issue).

This might be a good feature to add to the Scheduler that's built into Media Center.

Thanks for the hint.  I hadn't heard of the scheduler.  But with the scheduler I just used a command line command to put it into standby.  I followed the article  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555569/en-us to determine the proper command line prompt to use.
