Expressions help please
« on: May 03, 2008, 03:19:37 pm »

I expect this can be done with expressions, but I am really bad at that so need some assistance.

How would I make a smartlist which would identify files that exist on my Lossless drive, but do not have an mp3 'clone' on the drive where those live?

I don't believe this is possible to achieve in one step...

What if you create 2 smartlists:
One that lists all duplicates of [artist],[album] and [name],
and another that lists all files on your lossless drive, excluding the ones that feature in the first list.

Untested, but I see no reason why that won't work, assuming that all files are imported in the same library and correctly tagged.

yup, that should do it.

I was over-reaching for a solution. Had I not know of expressions I would have likely looked here.
The K.I.S.S. principle.  ;)

thanks
