About Tags And GREEK LANGUAGE (Could Anyone Help Us?)
« on: June 20, 2008, 12:54:12 am »

- I choose 'Tag' from 'Action Window' in the left of the screen..
- I choose one song from library (left side of screen) in which i want to change the 'Genre', 'Artist' etc.
- I'm choosing the field 'Genre' from the 'Tag' and the fields opening. I choose 'match code' and i see the list with all the 'Genres'. In the older versions when i started to wrote a letter for example 'k' into the field, this rolls down and it brings me the 'Genres' starting from 'k'. Now when i open a field and type a letter the list rolls down with english but when i choose greeks with Alt+Shift* doesn't work. If i typing a genre in greek the auto complete works. Only doesn't roll down.
In artist box this works fine.

I remind you that at the Media Center Vol.9, 10, 11, 12 and until 12.0.497 'Tag' works perfectly. Do you can it works like then?
Can you see it? (I've already posted several times for this problem but nothing).
Thanks in advanced.

*I've already choose English from Tools\Language\English and not Greek.

Could you help us better understand how you type Greek letters using Alt+Enter*?  I'm not familiar with this.

Thanks.

Could you help us better understand how you type Greek letters uing Alt+Enter*?  I'm not familiar with this.

Thanks.
Whith Alt+Shift i change only the keybord's letters from english to greek so, for example when i've choosed greeks and push the button 'V' in greeks is the 'Ω'.Below i give you the correspondence for keybord's buttons between engilsh and greek.
WITH CAPS LOCK :
English: Q W E R T Y U I O P [ ] \
Greek:   ;  ς  Ε Ρ Τ Υ Θ Ι Ο Π [ ] \

English: A S D F G H J K L ; '
Greek:   Α Σ Δ Φ Γ Η Ξ Κ Λ ΄΄(with double click) '

English: Z X C V B N M , . /
Greek:   Ζ Χ Ψ Ω Β Ν Μ , . /

WITHOUT CAPS LOCK :
English: q w e r t y u i o p [ ] \
Greek:   ; ς ε ρ τ υ θ ι ο π [ ] \

English: a s d f g h j k l ; '
Greek:   α σ δ φ γ η ξ κ λ ΄΄(with double click) '

English: z x c v b n m , . /
Greek:   ζ χ ψ ω β ν μ , . /

Greek letters also :
Έ, Ύ, Ί, Ό, Ά, Ή, Ώ, έ, ύ, ί, ό, ά, ή, ώ etc. = ;+[letter]
Ϊ, ϊ, ϋ = shift+;

Maybe it must be added at the box (or system) the greek letters so it recognizes them.
I think that is programming settings and i have no the knowledge to explaining you.
If i'll find something i'll send to you. But why in the previous versions this works and now doesn't ?
Can you find what have changed in tags? It's difficult to reinstall those settings?
I remind you that i can type greek letters in the box but the system doesn't recognize them so rolls down.
Informed me if you find something.
Thanks.

P.S.: I'll change the title to this topic and i ask help in case for someone from greece and programming knowledge read this topic and can help us.

How can I set Windows to trap Alt+Enter so it switches my keyboard layout?

Currently, Alt+Enter opens and closes the Tag window for me inside Media Center.

Thanks.

Matt,

In control panel, go to regional settings. In the "languages" tab click on "details" in the first dialogue and you'll find there the settings for switching from one keyboard language to the other.

Look for a fix in a version of the program that will be available on this board next week.

Thanks for patiently reporting the issue, and for all your help.
