Are views configuration stored in a seperate library file?
« on: July 20, 2008, 07:12:05 am »

Hi!

I have a removable storage I used for storing and running MC on my laptop during my holidays. But now I would like to easily apply the changes I have made to my views, without replacing the whole library on my home computer.

Is that possible by moving some of the library files onto my stationary?

I'd guess it's not stored in library files but in windows registry. I have a synched library on my Laptop and PC, but I have to configure all views and zones seperatly. Perhaps you could use the Settings Save & Restore Plugin/Tool?!

Not much description on this plugin. Am I only supposed to run it and wish for the best? Will it create a file with the props?

I think views are stored in the library not in the registry.
They are certainly library specific.

If I recall correctly, the views are stored in the file browser.jmd and are indeed library specific.

Sorry, you're right. I gave this a try and it worked with replacing "browser.jmd" (I also replaced the "browser(x).jmd" files for my testings).
