I've stopped using MC12 since I installed MC13... now I intend to remove it from my computer.
To do this I use a specialized uninstaller (Your Uninstaller from URsoft) that removes the applications, all related entries from the menus and Windows register, and also related files.
. Will be affected MC13 with this action?
. Does MC13 share files with MC12 in Application Data for instance?

I'd think using MC's built in uninstaller would probably be safer.

A library may have links to previously stored cover art and video screen grabs in the MC12 application data folders. MC13 has a new tool that can move cover art.
