smartlist or expression: dup titles ok, but need to space them

It's that time of year again, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a gazillion versions of White Christmas or Greensleeves. I have lots of Christmas playlists, and I don't want to elimiate duplicate titles; what I want is to space them so that, say, White Christmas can play twice, but only when there are at least 10 songs between them or something like that.   

Is that possible?

I was searching for something else, and came across this thread which answers my question: No, there is no way to do this.
