I opened MC to find that all of my thumbnails had suddenly disappeared.  I opened the same (shared) library on another PC and the thumbnails were missing there too.  I thought thumbnails were "stored" locally?  Any idea what could have caused them all to disappear?  I am rebuilding all the thumbnails now.

Turns out that all of my "Image File" fields were blanked out - all of them were "Folder.jpg" but suddenly became empty??

I have several downloaded files where the cover art is embedded in the files but is now not being shown in MC.  I have tried a "Quick Find In File" but it still is not finding the cover art.  If I "Locate external" and open up the music file in Windows Explorer (Vista) it shows the cover art properly in the preview at the bottom so I know the cover art is still embedded.  How do I "recover" the cover art in MC?

Try Update Library (from tags) on the files to cause the thumbnails to be regenerated.

Thanks, this worked.  But now I have a different problem where thumbnails are not available for the first tracks in some albums even though the "Image File" is tagged as "Folder.jpg" just like the rest of the tracks in the album that do display the thumbnail?  "Rebuild Missing Thumbnails" doesn't seem to fix this.
