Double clicking from Window Explorer to automatically play files

What settings must I change such that sound files that I double-click in Windows Explorer, windows will start playing in Media Center?  If I open a file with Media Center closed, Media Center will load automatically open and start playing the song.  However, if Media Center is already loaded, I cannot initiate playback of a song from outside of the program.

I have MC12 and Windows Vista.  Thanks.
