Broken Analyzer? [solved]
« on: March 11, 2009, 10:30:28 am »

Hi,

I recently had to re-import my library (about 2200 songs), with the auto-import function but it failed to analyze about 80 songs for volume leveling etc.  I've removed just those songs from the library and re-imported them again, but still nothing.  When I try to run one of those songs individually through the tools/ advance tools/ analyze audio function the screen blinks when I click on "Analyze" but doesn't do anything.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

Audio analysis during import is now off by default.  You can turn it on in MC options (general?).

Can you play the files?  If not, you can't analyze them either.

Also, if they're very short or a non-standard sample rate they won't analyze.

It turned out to be some kind of DRM issue.  I deleted the bad tracks from my libarary and then reimported them from backup copies (w/o DRM) and now they were analyzed and work fine.
