Sony Walkman MP3 Player
« on: July 17, 2002, 07:58:38 pm »

I am trying to upload MP3 files from MJ v.8.0.320 to a Sony Walkman MP3 player (model #NW-S4).  The device shows up on my Device Manager tree in Control Panel but now on the organizational tree in MJ.  Can you help?  Thanks.

Weasel,

Does the player show up under "My Computer" as a drive letter?  If not, we are not able to support this player at this time. If so, let me know and we can troubleshoot this further.  I am leaving at midday today and out until Monday but will check Interact on Sunday to see if I can help further.

No, it does not show up as a drive letter under 'My Computer.'  I guess I will just use Real Jukebox for uploading to this device for now.

Is there any plan to support devices like this?

Thanks.

Weasel,

We would like to support any Portable that users want. We have contacted Sony regarding supporting their players int the past and have gotten ignored up until now. With certain companies we have had more success recently as we get more and more well known. We will keep trying.

Sorry for now.

I also have a Sony Network Walkman (E3) and would like to get away from Real Jukebox (the CD burning does not work, nor does it have analogue input) - if you have any info ref supporting this player it would be gratefully received...

Jime,

Thanks for the input. We will try another round of talking to Sony to get this to happen.
