Theatre View Setup
« on: April 30, 2009, 02:48:00 am »

I was hoping someone could help me set up theater view.

When I started using MC I could not use it as my TV was to old.

Now I have a new LCD TV and would like to use it but I cant seem to figure how to do this.

My old system has a folder structure of TV series, Documentaries, Movies, Home Movies, Sports movies.

When they are in MC I have Genre as my directory eg Documentaries etc Then I have comments which have Documentaries new and Documentaries Watched.

This is how I sort my files.

I need to know how I can list my genre as the main list with sub directories underneath.

I hope you can help.

Cheers

Go to MC Options/Theater View.  On the bottom half of the options screen, you can change what Theater View will display.

Hello and thanks for the reply,

I need more help.

If I go into Theatre View nothing shows up in my movies everything is listed in other.

I somehow need to set directories with files underneath.

Is this possible? do I need to retag to get the movies to show up in movies?

Cheers

Yes, you have to do some tagging. Views based on folders are not the greatest. While you are under theater view options you can try to add a new view, or edit the video view that's there already. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Hi,

I am almost there.

When my folders show up and MC puts a large thumbnail on can I some how blank out one, or put a password on a folder.

I have a sensitive folder and the thumbnail is not acceptable.

Cheers
