Send to options
« on: May 13, 2009, 08:54:13 pm »

When I choose a file to copy to an external drive and use the "send to" option all I get is the choice to send it to is the burner. It won't let me choose any drive in the list. Is there a fix or how do you guys copy to another drive.

Cheers

Hi,

Can someone please explain how to do this Rename, Move, & Copy Files?

When I did this the other day I finished up with folders instead of files.

Cheers

If you just want to copy the files from one drive to another:

Select the files you want to copy, then select Rename, Move & Copy files.

- Select copy from the drop down at the top
- Check find and replace, uncheck the other two.

You could then put say,
Find: C:\Users\maid\Music\
Replace E:\

If you had selected a file with path C:\Users\maid\Music\Elliott Smith\XO\Sweet Adeline.mp3, it would then be copied to E:\Elliott Smith\XO\Sweet Adeline.mp3

Hope this helps, otherwise try posting some examples of what you're trying to do :)
Cheers,
Ben.

or select the files --> [ctrl]+c--> [ctrl]+v into (desired location) explorer  :)

again, it's really really easy if you just want to copy some files to another location

create a temporary playlist (if many files), send or drag your files there, select the files [ctrl+a], copy [ctrl+c]
open explorer in your desired location, paste [ctrl+v]

if you need to create folders for your files use the function "Rename, Move & copy files" under library tools
