DFX Audio Enhancer
« on: September 13, 2009, 06:52:43 pm »

Does anybody know if J River will ever integrate this DSP plug in when you burn your CD's ?

{When Musicmatch Jukebox was still around....you could use the DFX plug in when Burning a sound enhanced CD.}

Media Center allows using any DSP during audio CD burning.

Options > Burning > Apply cross-fade and DSP effects
Options > Burning > Cross-fade and DSP Settings...

Media Center also has a disk writer mode in Options > Playback > Output mode for creating DFX (or other DSP) modified files.

Let me ask you this: If I want to add DFX to tracks do I have to make separate WAV files for them first (if I'm recording them at cd quality) as in Winamp or does the DFX get added to the tracks as they are burned as in volume leveling, cross fading etc..? I've tried a few and the DFX doesn't sound as punchy as I'm used to. Thanks and sorry about giving the Winamp instructions in this forum.

It doesn't require anything special.  The WAV files get created automatically.  Maybe the DFX settings?
