I've got an inbuilt Media Center remote control (i.e. not with an external USB receiver)

The buttons on the remote work how you'd expect everywhere else, but in MC, the next and previous track buttons do the same as skip back and forward buttons.

Is this just me? Is it working correctly for everyone else?

I haven't configured anything in the remote control options, it's all default.

Maybe you have a Microsoft v1 remote (as opposed to a V2 remote) ?

hm, don't think so. I've had a number of Media Center remotes over the years, and those look like the ones that were supplied with XP.

In any event, this used to work fine up until the remote stuff was changed recently, and everything else still works without needing to do everything. I suspect that the default button config is just set up wrong.
