Computer still asks for program after uninstall
« on: June 25, 2002, 08:01:26 pm »

I removed media jukebox, but when I insert a CD, I get a message titled "Program Not Found", with text that reads: "windows cannot find medijukebox.exe.  This program is needed for opening files of type 'Audio CD'." It then has a window in which I am supposed to browse my computer for the program, however the program has been removed.  How do I get my computer to stop asking this and simply load up my default player (currently Windows Media Player 7.1)?

go into WMP and select options and File types (or whatever dialogue that 7.2 uses, I have 8).  Select all the file types that you want (just hit "Select All" if that's an option) and hit Apply and OK.  That should take care of you.

Just curious. Why did you bail on MJ?

Not playing anything on Media Jukebox at the moment - don't want to wake my wife up.
