I am backing up my MP3 on another disk.

And I use a tool that compares Modified Date.

Whenever I backup, to save all the new imported MP3s, I see that many
other MP3s are backed up.

But I have not modified them and not even played them.
So it looks like MC is modifying those MP3 by itself.

I know it doesn't make a lot of sense but that is what I am experiencing.
I do not have any other media player using my MP3 collection, only MC15.

Any idea on what it might be happening?

Any log file that i can look at to see when MC15 is updating tags?
