A different coverart problem
« on: September 28, 2010, 11:00:33 am »

I recently made the jump from "the other default media player" to JR and I am impressed. My library was created by this other player and I have a lot of Cd titles that contain other information such as [Remastered] or [Expanded edition]. I have also been trying out EAC which does the same thing. When I do a coverart look up from the internet I get no matches. Out of curiousity I edited the Cd title to remove the bracketed content as well as the brackets and the coverart lookup worked. It seems odd that I would be the only one experiencing this but I could find nothing relating to this topic. Is there a way to have the look up be (optionally) a little less precise?

Good to hear.  Thanks.

Try using MC's ability to replace characters.  Search for [ and replace with "" in a few to test.  You probably have to put an escape character in front of the bracket:  \[
