I am using windows 7 basic. The first two days the playing of .wav or flac files
wre running very smoothly. On the third day when I play these files it stop
at almost each track.  Under Sound/windows devices the particular DAC device disappeared.
Reconnect the DAC (USB) MJ will play but will stop at almost half the track like before.

If your DAC is disappearing from Windows, it means there's a hardware problem.

Media Center may hang if it's talking to a soundcard in exclusive mode and the soundcard goes away.

You might try different USB ports or a different cable.
