New version of Gizmo Requires Password?
« on: October 29, 2010, 06:18:08 am »

I just installed Gizmo on a replacement Droid, and now asks for user name and password after the access key.  I never set up a user name or password, and cannot get in.  I even tried setting one up on MC 15, and then entering it on my phone. The phone says "connecting" and then just sits on the user name password screen.  I know there was a recent update to Gizmo. What happened, and more importantly how do I get in?  :'(

Have you updated MC running the server to the latest release?

If not, you should, as it would appear that Gizmo and Gizmote are build specific...

If you are running the latest, currently build 136, and still can't connect, it leads me to believe that the Gizmo releases have slipped ahead of the MC build releases. Keep an eye on the v15 forum for a new build being posted soon...

You will need to upgrade your Media Center to 15.0.142:

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks,
Build 142 fixed the problem.

Now, slightly off topic:
Is there any news on developing a search function in Gizmo that will find whole albums to play rather than just individual songs?
