Fixed Volume
« on: March 20, 2011, 10:50:42 am »

I upgraded to 16 and since then have not been able to adjust the volume in MC.  The volume bar shows N/A when I try to move it and http://localhost:52199/MCWS/v1/Playback/Volume shows -1 N/A.

What did I do to set the volume like this?  I checked through my prefs, I'm sure it's something I set, but I can't find it.  I'm running Direct Sound with nothing checked in the DSP settings.

Thanks!

Playback Options allows you to change to other settings.  Options has a search window.

Options has a search window.

Correct.  As does this forum, both of which I used prior to posting.  Do you have a suggested pref I should check in particular?

It's under the Player menu/Volume.

It's under the Player menu/Volume.

Thanks, that was helpful.  Not sure when I changed that, but it had me stumped.

Perhaps now you see why I couldn't initially find it.  Your first reaction was where I had been looking for some time.  I did not realize there was another preference for volume control that was not in the options, and in fact did not show up on the search.

I do understand.  It's a big program with a lot of nooks and corners.  It doesn't all fit in my memory.
