Wondering if anyone else had this problem?
« on: June 05, 2002, 12:00:09 am »

Whenever I try to shut down my XP Pro Computer while MediaJukebox is running minimized to the system tray, I can't do it through the start menu.  I have to shut down using ctrl-alt-delete.  I'm just wondering if that is happening to anybody else.

I have seen this but I think something else was wrong, for one I had 3 Media Jukebox Instances running (none of them visible).

I just figured out last night, that I am having this problem on Win2k pro as well.  If I have MJ minimized in the system tray and I choose shut down, it will not shut down windows.  All that occurs, is that the dialog box to shut down goes away.  When I choose it again, it shuts down.

What version?

That problem should have been fixed in one of the last four or five builds.  Make sure you have the latest.

I am using v8.0.289 on both my work laptop, and my home desktop.  Since I am at work, I can only provide the work system info, but I am having the same trouble on both.  Not a huge issue for me, as I just choose the shut down option again, but if this is a bug, it would be nice to isolate it.  Let me know if there are any tests I can perform

The problem of MJ 8 not letting Win XP shut down has been fixed if… MJ 8 is running maximized or reduced size.

But, I too am having the same shutdown problem when MJ8 is minimized.

DETAILS…
I am using MJ 8.0.291 with Win XP Pro with ALL latest patches/updates (as of last night).

The shut down problem is still there if MJ8 it is minimized.  It makes no difference if a song is playing or not… only that MJ8 is minimized.
