gizmo inverts correct order of songs
« on: April 21, 2011, 10:42:08 am »

High, can somebody help?
I use MC16 and Gizmo on samsung galaxy tab and galaxy mobile; ripping done by eac. Recently I noticed that my latest cd-ripps on gizmo played/showed songs in reverse order. On MC16 (and on hdd) the same ripps are correct and are played in order. I ripped 950 cds before without trouble. Anybody got an idea what happened?
thanks in advance for answering

Welcome to the forum.  Are the dates on the files correct?  Are there track numbers in the tags?

The default 'Recent Albums' will sort ripped files in reverse.

You can fix this manually in Options > Media Network > Advanced > Customize views for Gizmo, WebRemote, & WebPlay...

Pick 'Recent Albums' on the left, then 'Set rules for file display...' on the right, then add or modify a sorting modifier.

A future build of Media Center will revise the stock views to fix this, but I'm not sure if it'll auto-correct existing installs since that could remove other user customization.

Thanks.

thx for help Matt
I made my way up to "edit search", I choose "sort by" (left), pushed "add new modifier", but what comes now?
I left "no modification" (left) and scrolled thru "add..." but found nothing like "keep original order" or the like. So what shall I do?
