MC 16.0.105 - Mouse wheel

6. Changed: Mouse wheel over video seeks instead of zooms (use Ctrl+Wheel to zoom).

Is there a way to adjust the length of the time jump? I have changed the settings under "Option - Video - General Video Settings - Jump behaviour" but this shows no effect on the mouse wheel?

Thanks

I wasn't sure that different sized jumps for forward and back (default of 30 seconds forward, 10 back for TV) made sense with the mouse wheel.

What do others think?

Yes please. I use skip a lot for mixed martial arts events, where there may be 5-10 minutes of promo materials between fights. I like to keep a default of 5 seconds both forward and back so I can do an instant replay.

I'd really like the mouse wheel to comply with the skip preferences in options.

I should add that smooth scroll also complicates this a bit.

Some mice output fractional amounts of scrolling or amounts greater than one depending on how fast you scroll.

The current method supports this, but using fixed size jumps will make smooth scrolling not work nicely.

I would like to have the possibility of a short jump back because most of my movies are in English and I am not a native speaker of English. Therefore I often need to jump back when I have not understand everything. With a skip range of 10 sec. a movie could become a little bit borrowing.

Is there a way to disable the mouse wheel? Before it resized the picture any time I touched the mouse. Now it scans forward or back any time I touch the mouse. It is really annoying, unfortunately.

I agree the mouse wheel gesture ffwd/backwards is very frustrating while watching a movie or a football game for example. There are 20 possible steps to increase the jump size, why not have the option to disable it ?
I don't expect a comment back, by the way. I know this topic is old, and MC 16 isnt developed further. But i just had to let out my frustration after another end of the movie was ruined by accidently touching the mouse wheel.
