Try Red October Standard.

More details might help.

It's working for me on Win7.

OS?

Did you try a reboot?

Without Red October, what filters are you using?

Set the Audio and Video options in MC's Options.

I am also getting the error where it says the file location is missing on any build higher than 87

Do other videos play?  Red October should be solid.  Red October HQ has had a problem when video playback is stopped.

With build 87, installing CCCP might work.

Any testing would be appreciated.

I rebooted the computer, now im getting a brand new error, (pins cannot connect due to not supporting the same transport code=0x80040266), now not a single video will play, and again, click on play dvd will cause mc to stop working as soon as i click play. and this is on build 87!

It's not surprising if 87 doesn't play a video -- that's why we've been working so hard on Red October.

So please install the latest.

Then erase:
C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 16\Plugins

Then reboot.

Then test.  If it still doesn't work, please send a log from the new build.

Thanks.

Thanks for the log.  It shows that Red October is off.

Please select "Red October Standard" in Options > Video.

I turned it on, and again, no videos will play.

Did you try the step I posted above about erasing this folder:
C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 16\Plugins

If not, please try that.  You will need Internet on the first playback afterwards.

Also, please test using the 'Default Windows playback device' for audio in Options > Video.

Thanks.
