Can't import .MOV files?
« on: June 13, 2011, 10:34:19 am »

Has anyone had this unusual problem?  I can import darned near ever filetype into MC, but when I tell it to import .MOV files, it errors and give me the "187 files could not be imported" error.

10.0.110, but I've noticed the last few builds.   Personally, I don't think it's been working for ME for a while now, just hadn't really noticed.
I don't really think it's inherent to MC, probably a windows thing, just hoping someone has encountered this one.
I turned on logging and am running a full sweep for .MOV (only) files and I'll see if there is any more detail.

Make sure you have 'Red October Standard' or 'Red October HQ' enabled in Options > Video.

If the problem persists, could you share one of the MOV files?  I'm matt at jriver dot com.

Thanks.

I tried both Red Oct and Red Oct HQ, I had to alter it to Red Oct HQ w/ additional directshow filters and manually set .MOV files to use the j river video engine (auto, auto)
Now it imports the files, but they have unusual borders.  I'm still testing it out.

They files play fine on other PCs, so that is no issue.
