Interesting new problem. I can't play my Blu-ray rips (.m2ts) on my "high performance" computer but they play okay on my low-performance system. I stream all my movies/music from a central server over a wired network.

I just finished setting up MC 16.0.126 on my bedroom computer (it is a AsRock H67-ITX with i3-2100 and 4GB ram running Win7 32bit). I can not get my BD rips to play smoothly. They are showing "blocks", skipping and sticking. I can play all my DVD rips (.vob) without a problem. I now have Video set to RO Standard (but I should be able to use RO-HQ on this system). Before I installed MC16, I was using 7MC with Shark007 code pack, LAV Filters and MadVR without a problem, so I'm sure it is not the computer, it must be something in my MC setup - or maybe my network is the issue (although it works fine on my Familty room system).

My family room computer is a Gigabyte GA-E7AUM (the GeForce9400) with a CoreDuo E8400, 4Gb memory and a dGPU (an Asus GT440). This computer is less powerful than the bedroom system, but I can play all my Blu-ray movies without issue using RO-HQ and Lav CUVID. I bitstream this to a Onkyo 705 receiver. So this system has no problem, but my other (bedroom1 system is having problems with same movies over same network).

What should I check first? I've been through all the settings and I (think) have the lower performance settings selected.

An over eager virus checker?

You might use the benchmark feature in MC to compare the two machines.  It's under Help.

I went back to get some more troubleshooting notes, and now everything is playing fine.

The bedroom computer is playing the BD movie "3:10 To Yuma" with CPU at 40% and memory at 33% and network at 3.2%.
The family room system is playing the BD movie "Cars" with COU at 15%, memory at 28%, and network ultilization at 3.3%.

Both systems now have Red October (HQ) running. The Family room system also has LAV CUVID installed.

So I quess it was a fluke. If it happens again, I see what the CPU and network loads are.

BTW, someone at the AVS forum told me to go into Network settings and disable "Interrupt Moderation". They say this should not be necessary for "home network" (only helps for sending/downlaoding data like files/programs where dropped packets can be resent, but can allow interruption of movie playback on a home network). So I disabled this on my HTPC computers.
