Bug in Crossfade?

Although any/all of my Redbook Audio (CD, 16/44) FLACS play fine and crossfade beautifully, I only get abrupt track changes, after a short pause, with 24/96 or higher bitrate FLAC's?

Could this be a bug in the crossfade module?
