CD Labeller not aligned (repost)
« on: May 28, 2002, 05:59:55 am »

Hi all,
"waltman" inquired about this same problem a day or so ago, but no one responded to his thread...is no one else having this trouble?
Using the CD labeling software in MJ8, I went to print both a CD label and a jewel case insert (back cover)... both were off a couple of centimeters from the Neato label paper I am using.  Is there any way (or any plans to implement a way) to tweak the alignment when printing?  Any thoughts on the subject would be welcome...

I don't have any insight on how to adjust the borders, but in case anybody is looking for CD labels that work pefectly, I can tell you that printing on the Avery 5931 is spot on. Don't know about the jewell case inserts since I print them on plain paper

Swordsman74 and Oogi -
I saw the problem on the Neato jewel case insert and fixed it for the next build. The one I have is called "matte jewel case front booklet". The box they came in has a number 99946 on it. This was off by about 1/2 centimeter each way. However, when I tried the Neato CD Labels 2-up (#99942) they were right on. I have a feeling you are using different products. Can you give me the exact product descriptions and numbers?

At least with the latest build you can put in an offset amount as a work-around.

Thanks!

Hi John T,
My CD labels are #99941 "white premium cd labels", template "us cd labels 2up - uscd2lbl.ntt"...do I have an old format, maybe?  I do greatly appreciate you adding the "tweak" mechanism.  I'm going to try it out now, but it sure looks like it will work just fine.
 Thanks again!

Hello John T,

The problem that I have is different,

And I didn't understand a word of what you talked about, maybe it was the time that I read it (3:00 AM)

NNaaa, It was not the time..

Anyway, When I print in my HP690C with XP driver, the front goes out, and fit to the box,

But the back label is too small (0.25 mil.)

Hi Oogi-
I was just asking what pre-printed label product you are using. The product description and number if there is one. Or are you just using plain paper?

Thanks,
John T.

The problem with this CD labeler is not having the opportunity to change paper seetings.
When using a non listed paper, it's never exactly the way you want it to be.
Is there a way to personnalize print settings (i.e. add paper format) ?

Cheers,

That will have to wait for a future version. Sorry.
