Blu-ray audio playback issue
« on: August 16, 2011, 12:07:09 am »

Just playing back the latest Start Trek movie on Blu -ray.  Sounds good and then when a really loud passage hits, it sounds like a compressor or autogain kicks in and then the audio gets reduced in volume considerably and voices hard to hear.

Stopping playback and restarting seems to reset what ever kicked in, until the next loud passage, which may be a few minutes and same issue happens again.

My output format is 2 channel with JRSS V2 surround sound.  General Video settinga, DirectShow Red October standard, no hardware accelerate or normalize volume or bitstreaming.

Any other settings I need to check?  Note this only happens on Blu-ray playback, no issues with regular DVD playback with same settings.

Thanks!
