Last step to connect to DLNA: ?
« on: August 27, 2011, 03:14:42 pm »

I can connect to my 'Room'-library on another computer. It does work and it can play files from either the client or the server.
Now I want to do the same trick to my laptop: connect it to that 'Room'-library. These are the steps I've taken:
- File, Libary, 'Room'
- Load that library

MC says that 'Room' is a DLNA library from a device on the network and it's got many files in so many MB. The same for thumbnails.
Loaded: yes.

But when I try to play files from that 'Room'-library on my laptop (which hasn't got these files locally stored) it won't play them.

Have I missed a step?

Thanks for helping me out on this one!

If your server has a NAS drive and the NAS has DLNA, MC may see it.

Or if your server has both Library Server and DLNA Servers running, MC may see both.

In the case you're describing, it would be best to use Library Server, but not DLNA, but either should work.
