Moving files to a new drive
« on: September 25, 2011, 01:03:44 pm »

I replaced my C drive with a larger drive and re-installed all my programs.  I still have my old drive and I would like to know what files to copy from my old drive to recover some of my settings.  I do not want my actual files as I have already imported them.  What I am looking for is the additional fields that I have created.

Thanks for your help!

If you have a Library Backup from the old install available you can do a Restore, which offers the options to restore both the library (file info + Tags) as well as an option to Restore the Library Settings (which should return your settings and custom views & playlists).

MC makes library backups automatically.

See the article on "Moving Files" in our wiki.
