Last.fm plugin bypasses some symbols
« on: January 29, 2012, 04:58:35 am »

I've realized that +44 sends as 44. MJ tells me the info sent is ok (BTW I send [Album Artist]) but last.fm gets the wrong info. I assume it will happen with more symbols. Some ideas?

Edit to note that it doesn't send the same song if played more than once in a row. :(

Edit: Hexify doesn't work.

For those who had similar issues here's a workaround:

http://universalscrobbler.invitationstation.org/

You can scrobble manually those songs that fail.

P.D.: I've tried every single idea i got into :( Not "/", nor replacement worked. Even fixing +44 as the artist scrobbled just 44.

You could try Media Center 17.  It has native Last.fm scrobbling.

I thought the plugin was the same for both softwares. It is possible I end up tyring MC17. It would be easy to transfer my MJ library and preferences to MC or it's a completely different thing?

last.fm is built into MC.  No plug-in is required.

Your MJ data should transfer to MC17 when you install it.  You can also backup your library in MJ and restore it in MC.
