  • Your life is short. Give me your money.

Depends on the clip and how it is being streamed.  Can you provide more info about it?

Well, then, that's different.  Google can help you here.  Once you have the files, folks here can help you import them.

You can play YouTube videos from within MC.  See Video > Connected Media > YouTube.

For some videos in YouTube, you may see a pop-up that appears when you try to play a video.  It allows adding a link, or downloading.  Other videos are played via Flash (and hence via MC's internal Internet Explorer), and require different methods of downloading.

I don't know how many different forms are supported and not supported.

I don't represent JRiver, so feel free to ignore my nonsense. :-)

Seriously, I think the question was too broad, and when pressed for specifics, it remained still a bit broad, so was not possible to answer with specifics either yay or nay.

Q: How do I download anthing I want?
A: What do you want specifically?
Q: To download anything from any major provider.

The devs do have a constant challenge providing download capabilities.  They steer clear of anything that, by law, is considered questionable at best.  Consider that your interpretation of intellectual freedom may not be shared by all, esp. lawyers and law-enforcement who can darken an otherwise clear, sunny day.  Le Megaupload est mort, vive le Megaupload!

Thank you "Oracle".
I think you owe MrC an apology.  He tried to help you.

I guess I could apologize for you.  I'm sorry, MrC.

Hehe, those funny Japanese.

(I'm reminded of Frank in An Idiot Abroad S2E8).
