How soon until Gizmo catches up to myriver?
« on: September 29, 2012, 04:35:07 am »

I checked out gf's myriver tonight... impressive.

Can we expect ratings,  add to playlist,  add to genre,  in some upcoming gizmo builds? Maybe visualizations?  Or abilty to download to phones sdcsrd for when we travel where there is no signal?

Thanks

I'd pay for a premium Gizmo App. The day it was Released.

Because you're not likeley to change your phone to do it. Myriver is an iOS app. Xtacbyme probably have an Android phone.

I hope more work will be put into functionality in gizmo my self. It's lacking in lots of places except for the option to play from and to what ever you like. Steersman has a promising project going on for a Andoid Pad app. I hope that will turn out well. http://steersman.byterefinery.de

I am supporting Myriver,  i told her to buy it cause that was the only option at the time that i knew of. lol

Anyway, MyRiver, Steersman if you guys would be so kind to make us something similar with options noted above (i'll kickstart/pledge $50.00 for such an app.)
Thanks

I've made this comment elsewhere as well but it is dissappointing that Gizmo doesn't have some of this functionality yet.

All of this functionality was available in NetRemote with any number of underpowered PocketPC handhelds 6 years ago.  I know there has been lots of work on streaming functionality and video but Gizmo seems to have stagnated on some of these basic features that are readily available on a number of other platforms.

Where (if at all) on the priority list is working on Gizmo features like this?

How is that an answer, Jim?

For the last few years you've been trumpeting the Android platform, and now that a 3rd party iOS program has more features than Gizmo everyone is supposed go buy Apple mobile products instead?

Am I to assume this your way of telling us its not on the list?

I too would be happy to pay a premium Gizmo.  (i paid year after year for NetRemote and Girder).
Also I am an Android diehard so MyRiver doesn't do much for me.
