Trial period?
« on: October 27, 2012, 06:28:21 pm »

I went through everything again and I've got MC17 on my new computer. It's got three demo files on it. Do I pay an upgrade price or what? Now is this just good for 14 days or is it mine? How do I tell? I'd hate to load it up with all of my files only to have it stop in 14 days.

I restored my system using my Registration Code and the Install key you sent me. I bought Ver. 16, but your install key was for Ver. 17. So what did I do, buy it or restore it?

If you have an MC17 Registration Code, just download it and do a Restore.

Complete instructions are in the wiki topic called "Restoring a license".

The "key" file given are only valid for about a month. After that, you'll need to do a "restore from Internet". This gives you another key file that can be used another month. And so on. There are no limitations on the restores from this file, but you have a limited number of restores each year. If you happen to use them all, this can be reset or extended if you ask.

The Install Key is good for 14 days.  After that, you need to use the Registration Code and do a Restore.  This is explained on the Purchase Page (link above).
