I'm new.
The library is picking up music files from all over the place and I want it to pull them from only one place.

I have a folder (Music) on a NAS.  I have that mapped to my desktop as z:

That is the only file I want MC to pull files from.  How do I make this happen?

I had the same problem. MC auto-imports from various places without asking. In the library I deleted all the files that I didn't want, then did File Library Import, Import single folder on the music drive. Good luck!

It does ask, but sometimes people miss it.

Under File/Library, you can clear your library and start again.

   So far, seems to have done the trick.  Only...I thought I did the same thing before but I might not have picked "configure auto-import" option.

It does ask, but sometimes people miss it.

It doesn't ask here, Jim. It tells. "Media Centre will automatically import your media".

People do sometimes miss that notice.
