Mac JR 18 timed out?
« on: March 27, 2013, 02:35:08 pm »

Hi ll,

Just downloaded the latest alfa version for mac.
I get a " timed out"  error, saying i need a newer version.

It might have to do with the trail period of the software.
I bought the license on one of the first days of offering but havent been able to use the key yet (no clue were /how to do it)

are these things related?
somebody be able to tell how to solve the problem?

Welcome.

Early builds contain a timeout.

You can download a newer build with a later timeout at the top of this board.

For example:

Thanks for your purchase.

Make sure you have 18.0.156 and then install your license.

Hi Matt and Jim,

Thanks for all the tips

have downloaded the latest version of JRiver and regenerated the .mjr file.
Double clicking on the file still generates the same error.

Should i try to re-install an older version?

nb: previous versions have been working

Hi Matt & Jim

found the issue/solution; despite the installation and replacing the old version,  the old version was still on my mac. (apparently replacing did not happen.)
Therefore deleted the old version and installed the new version. That did the trick.
