File Type changes not permanent from "no" to yes"

In "Options" --> FileType ---> any file type changing from NO to YES gets temporary changes but when I exit and launch the MC18 again, I see again in the "options--> File type ---> NO. Is this a problema, or is it normal? However I DO import correctly ISO files (SACD)
