hello,

I've got a problem with DLNA with jriver MC 19.

When i play my music from my asus eeepc 1201n netbook which is connected dlna with my samsung laptop where my flac are stored, sometimes flac is cutting, stop, play, and stop again, and is cutting all the times when i'm playing flac hd 24/192.

I thought it was wifi but even with ethernet wired connection it does it again i mean less but this problem is not fixed.

any suggestion ? my netbook asus 1201n processor atom is too weak maybe ? anyone can help me ?

Welcome to the forum.

Bandwidth is a possibility, but probably not with a wired connection.

An antivirus program is also a possibility.

You could run the benchmark program in MC (under the Help menu) and paste the results here.

This newbie has a related issue I think.  I also get dropouts when I send PCM to an Integra DHC80.1 via DNLA and wired Ethernet 100Mbps, but it is not just on FLAC source material - ALAC does the same thing.  The dropouts vary in time a lot between them, but are short enough term that they are usually nearly imperceptible on music but very obvious when I play a continuous sine wave from a test disc.  Seems to work fine when I send MP3 High Bandwidth.  Would a GBit network maybe solve the problem, or any other suggestions?

Welcome.

It could be a virus checker, or a machine overloaded with the conversion process, or bandwidth somewhere.  The way to find it is to start substituting alternatives.  For example, if you use a NAS, try playing local files.   Try reading other posts where people have solved similar problems.  See the "Weird Problems" thread in my signature for a few.

Soulpatrol's machine above is a very slow machine.  It could easily be over-worked.

problem solved.
my atom netbook is enough powerfull for flac hd 24/192KHz.
The problem is the network of my crappy isp "box" "numericable".
router is fast ethernet, it's weird that it's not enough.

Not sure what you mean - is the isp "box" a router they provided.  How did you determine that was the problem?

hi, yes the isp box is the modem router of my internet provider "numericable".

The problem is not the atom processor because when i plug my external disk drive usb 24/192 is working perfectly without dropouts.

dlna wifi is horrible, fast ethernet is a little bit better, and usb disk drive perfect, so my conclusion is that it is a network problem.
